Both my brothers got married earlier this year, and I got me thinking on two topics. Relationships and who the next Mrs. Ly is. I will save relationships for a different blog post, but this blog post is for Mrs. Ly.

Being Hmong and your siblings are getting married, your aunts, uncles, grandparents and fellow cousins come up to the sibling who is not married, yet (That would be me!) and ask "So your brother/sister is getting married. When are we going to see you get married? Are you talking to anyone?" I know they all mean well and I respect them for that. I would reply back, "School first! Need to finish school before I get into a relationship." Okay, now look, I kind of withheld some information there. Yes, I want to finish school first, but I have faith that God will bring me the right person, on His timing. I believe that God has that person in store, and she is coming soon.

Continue to pray for my brothers and my sister-in-laws, but I also pray for the next Mrs. Ly. I pray that as I am closing in on finishing school, that she will come soon. To the Mrs. Ly, I'm praying for you, and I do not know if you know that, but one day we will build our relationship with each other around Jesus, because He is the center of it all. (Hey! I used a song title) You will be the special person in my life and I will love you forever and ever. There is one missing piece of my heart left, and God has already given you the missing piece to my heart and it will fit. You will complete the puzzle!

As I imagine, I am standing at the altar with the pastor, I will be a groom waiting for his beautiful bride to walk down the aisle. I can not wait for the adventures we'll take part of, the family gatherings, meeting new people and building relationships that last a lifetime and just being by each others side. I can not wait for our relationship to begin and see what God has in store for us.

I can promise to you right now, that I am praying for you. I am praying that I will take the next step and tell you how I feel. I am praying that it will be soon, that we will be able to be in a relationship very soon, and that we will be able to take it to the next step. I am praying that you are praying too. For now, as God is doing His work, this is what I can say.

To: The Future Mrs. Ly:

I have been praying for you, and I do not know if you have been praying for me. The Lord, as sent you because He gave you the missing piece of the puzzle. The adventures we will take, relationships we will build and most importantly being mentors to each other, remembering that our relationship is Christ centered. I will forever and always love you! You will have broken down barriers that no one has been able to take down before, you will have taken over and become the Queen. As I dub myself the "King of Aces" a King is never good without his Queen, you will be the "Queen of Aces." I do not know when to you will arrive in my life, but I will continue to pray until the day I confess "I like you", all in God's timing. Just remember that I am a big time nerd, and I really have not been a serious relationship, so we will walk through it together. I am excited at the adventures we will take, it will be like a day at Universal, but it will be a lifetime pass. I can not wait for that day. To you, I say, see you soon.
